Student-led assemblies are conducted to facilitate research, presentation and communication skills within children. The topics are related to value education and every student gets an opportunity to present a particular topic in his/her unique way. Student Led Assemblies provide a major platform to each and every child to present himself/herself confidently in front of his/her peers, conduct interactive session with them and enhance all the essential 21^st century skills.

Special Assemblies –

Apart from the above-mentioned assemblies, special assemblies pertaining to special days and festivals are also conducted with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm. The students present dramas, dances, songs and speeches with reference to each special day. Independence Day, Teacher’s Day, Ganpati Utsav, Gandhi Jayanti, Grandparents Day, Diwali, Hindi Divas, Christmas, Republic Day, Marathi Divas are few of such special days.

Field Trips –

An integral part of teaching learning process, field trips help children to interact with their environment physically and also help them in assessing their surroundings and act in accordance with the need of the situation. Right from organizing virtual field trips during the covid times to recent times, Orion field trips have always been to unique destinations which give students a peek into the real world around them.

Well Being –

We concerned more about the mental well-being of our children as well-being is the experience of health, happiness, and prosperity. It includes having good mental health, high life satisfaction, a sense of meaning or purpose, and the ability to manage stress. It helps the children to lead their lives more confidently by analyzing their own strengths and also helps them to overcome their weaknesses by strengthening their strengths.

Physical Education and Yoga –

At Orion, we believe that health is a perfect harmony of body and mind. We provide opportunities to students to push their boundaries in various sports activities and excel at them. School-based yoga programs and physical educational activities promote social-emotional learning and positive student outcomes as these activities are planned and designed in a way that they have the potential to discipline, direct and motivate students to good behavioral patterns, positive personality traits, better social and familial cohesion and creativity, which may ultimately lead them to greater success in life.

Library skills –

A well-equipped and a comprehensive library is probably the key aspect of an educational organization as it allows the students a plethora of literature to choose from. We encourage students to develop library skills as students with library research skills are better placed to produce high quality academic work and to fully benefit from a research-based education. Library skills incorporates the skills needed to effectively find, evaluate, manage and use information.

Music –

Music is one of the core co-curricular subject at Orion as music stimulates the brain and with its varied sounds and lyrics, students are exposed to a large amount of vocabulary in a short amount of time. It also provides exposure to other languages, which creates a foundation for the student’s ability to understand and communicate in a different language.

Dance –

Children are more expressive through dance in their communication of emotions, thoughts and feelings. Dance is an integral part of curriculum at Orion through which we help our children to critically analyse their own work and the work of others, as well as being more creative and imaginative.

Handwriting Improvement sessions –

It is said that good handwriting is an insight into an individual’s character. To enable our learners to understand the correct technique of using writing tools such as pens and pencils, we conduct handwriting sessions on regular basis.
